Atakan Cevik (“Developer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application, MafiaX (the “App” or “Service”). Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the application.
We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating the “Last Updated” date of this Privacy Policy. You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of updates.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect via the Application depends on the content and materials you use, and includes:
1.1. Personal Data:
a. Account Information: When you register using Sign in with Apple, we receive information from Apple, such as your Apple ID (or a unique identifier), email address (if you choose to share it), and name (if provided). If reviewer codes are used, we may collect the code and associate it with your generated account.
b. User Profile Information: Information you voluntarily provide for your user profile, such as username, biography, and profile image (if applicable).
c. User Content: Content you create or share within the App, such as messages sent to other users or reports submitted.
d. Support Communications: Information you provide when you contact us for support.
1.2. Usage Data:
a. Gameplay Information: Your game progress, statistics (level, XP, currency, stats like strength/defense), achievements, actions taken within the game (e.g., crimes attempted, attacks made, duels fought), inventory, protection status, ban/silence status, and interaction data with game features. This data is essential for the core functionality of the game.
b. Device Information: Information about the device you use to access the App, such as IP address, device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, mobile network information, and App version. This helps us troubleshoot issues and optimize performance.
c. Log and Usage Information: Information automatically collected when you access or use the App, including access times, pages viewed, features used, error logs, and other system activity. Used for monitoring stability and identifying potential problems.
1.3. Data Collected by Third Parties:
a. Supabase: We use Supabase for backend services, including authentication, database storage, and potentially real-time features. Supabase may collect data according to its own privacy policy (please refer to Supabase’s documentation for details). We store your account data, profile information, game state, and potentially logs on Supabase servers, which are located within the European Union (EU).
b. Apple: For authentication via Sign in with Apple, Apple collects data according to its policies.
c. Analytics Providers: We do not currently utilize third-party analytics providers but reserve the right to do so in the future (e.g., Google Analytics for Firebase, Mixpanel) to help measure traffic and usage trends. Should we implement such tools, they would collect information according to their own privacy policies, and this policy will be updated accordingly.
d. Advertising & Sales: The App does not currently include third-party advertising or offer any items/currency for sale. We reserve the right to introduce advertising or in-app purchases in the future. If we do, partners involved may collect device identifiers, IP addresses, and interaction data according to their own privacy policies, and this policy will be updated accordingly.
2. How We Use Your Information
Having accurate information permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use information collected about you via the Application to:
a. Create and manage your account.
b. Operate and maintain the Service, including core gameplay features (e.g., saving progress, enabling interactions like attacks/duels, managing stats, displaying profiles).
c. Personalize and improve your experience.
d. Monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve the App and develop new features (primarily using aggregated or anonymized data where possible).
e. Provide technical support and respond to your inquiries.
f. Communicate with you about your account or the Service (e.g., updates, security alerts, support messages).
g. Prevent cheating, fraud, or other unauthorized or illegal activities.
h. Enforce our Terms of Service and other policies.
i. Comply with legal obligations.
j. Display user profiles and leaderboards (containing usernames and game stats) to other users as part of the intended game experience.
k. Facilitate user-to-user communication (e.g., in-game messaging).
l. Process user reports regarding conduct violations.
m. Serve personalized advertisements, should we implement advertising in the future (as mentioned in 1.3.d).
3. Disclosure of Your Information
We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations. Your information may be disclosed as follows:
a. By Law or to Protect Rights: If we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others, we may share your information as permitted or required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation.
b. Third-Party Service Providers: We share necessary information with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents who perform services for us or on our behalf and require access to such information to do that work (e.g., Supabase for backend hosting and services). We select providers who demonstrate commitment to security and privacy.
c. Other Users: Your profile information (username, level, stats, biography, profile picture, join date, last seen status, protection/ban/silence status) may be visible to other users of the Service as part of intended gameplay (e.g., user lists, leaderboards, profiles, duel/attack interactions).
d. Business Transfers: We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of developer assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our operations to another company. You will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Service of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information.
e. With Your Consent: We may disclose your personal information for any other purpose with your consent.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures, including leveraging the security features provided by our backend provider (Supabase), to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps and employ standard practices to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse. We are committed to safeguarding your data but cannot guarantee absolute security. Any information disclosed online is inherently vulnerable to interception and misuse by unauthorized parties.
5. Data Retention
We will retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. After account deletion, some data may be retained in an aggregated or anonymized form for analytical purposes or as required by law.
6. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, such as:
a. Right to Access: You may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you.
b. Right to Correction: You may have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information.
c. Right to Deletion: You may have the right to request the deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., legal obligations, data required for ongoing service functionality if the account remains active).
d. Account Information: You may at any time review or change the information in your account (e.g., username, biography) or terminate your account via the App settings. Account termination will lead to the deletion of associated personal data according to our retention policy.

7. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the relevant age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child, please contact us.
8. International Data Transfers
Your information, including personal data, is processed and stored via our backend provider, Supabase. Supabase utilizes servers located within the European Union (EU) for data storage associated with this Service. Using the Service means your data may be processed by Supabase according to their data processing agreements and policies. By using the Service, you consent to the processing of your data as described herein and by Supabase, primarily within the EU.
